Collection: Maang Date Palm Leaf Craft

The Maang Leaf Craft Project

For generations, Maang families in central India made ropes, brooms and ritual ware from leaf. When use of plastic threatened to replace them, this community of artists pivoted and same skill opened into new forms. In Pindrai village, in centarl India, we are working with Maang artisans to shape date palm leaf into jewelry, accessories and home decor.
Bud. Bloom. Blossom.
This is where a new chapter begins- Here, design is a bridge. It carries a very old craft into homes far from the village, and carries something back: fair pay, recognition, representation and a portion of sales returned to the artisan families. A more equitable society is built through choices like these, one piece at a time. The humble broom becomes the starting point of a new visual language. Bring a piece of this craft evolution into your home and life. Want to learn about this project? Head over to our blog here
